The Busy Kid = Happy Mom Family Tradition:

| Buddies: our classic elf "Ben" and our Elf-on-the-Shelf "Franklin". |
In our house we believe that the Elf and Santa are just for fun. We have long told our children (who are now school-age) that "Santa is just a fun game we play" at Christmas. We present Santa as a historical figure and Christmas as the celebration of Jesus's birthday.

Can't wait to check out all these great ideas! I love to see what other families' elves have been up too! Thanks for including ours!
This sounds like a fun idea. We don't have an elf at home, but maybe we can use a Russian doll instead, lol
Where can I get this book at?
The Elf and the book are available at book stores, Target, and Amazon. Hope that helps!
I always post my elf pictures on facebook in the morning for our friends to see and this past weekend a friend brought over her original elf "uncle edward" to be at our house as he was lonely with no children around. The two elves in the tree is a very familiar sight :) We are loving our elf on the shelf tradition, I love hearing the kids giggle at "chippy" when they find him every morning!
OH p.s.!! I featured you on a post!! Sorry, I didn't tell you in the first comment!! :)
