First things first, I'm not a perfect mom (far from it) and I don't "do it all". I usually only share the best stuff or our highlight reel. I also have school-age kids who are capable of doing more and are creative on their own. This is a Guilt-Free Zone. I do like to share things that have worked for us, if you like it - pin it and save it for later.

creative outlet for me. I love to take pictures and share ideas.

I have worked with children for almost 20 years; however, I've learned more from the 2 that live in my house.
I'm learning right alongside them. They challenge my abilities,
they make me crazy sometimes, but I couldn't imagine life without them.

Why Busy Kids?
I love it when my kids
are involved doing things rather than video games or TV. I
don't like running them all over town to classes or sports. Both of my
children have full lives; however, we feel that family time is most important.
If I ever have the pleasure of meeting you face-to-face, I would never ever rattle off my resume to you. That said, some people like to know that I have a background in education. So here is my info: I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from
Virginia Tech and a Masters Degree in Education (emphasis in Reading)
from the University of Virginia. I've taught both as an elementary
classroom teacher and a reading specialist. Currently I work part-time
with a Title I program and coordinate their tutoring program. Most
importantly, I'm a mom!
