Teacher Appreciation Week
It’s that special time of year, Teacher Appreciation Week. I’ve written before about what to give (and what not to!), great books to appreciate our teachers, and then I made a little interview you could do with your child. This year, I made one for male and female teachers! I don’t want to leave out the awesome men that work with children too!
Interview your child or have them write their own answers. Teachers and Parents – this is so much fun to do for a cooperating teacher, teacher assistant, or student teacher too! Last week I was working with some students and they were discussing their teacher’s favorite color. Even though she told them that her favorite color was blue, they were convinced that she liked black the best. Why? That’s the color she wears all the time!
Children say the funniest thing! The last line about age and where she/he lives is just a guess. Most kids can’t believe that I don’t live with my own mom anymore or that I have a mom! Most kids think that I live at school. 🙂
Thank a Teacher, they impact lives everyday!

A few tips to make your Teacher Love book :
- work with small groups of students to complete the sheet
- ask them not to share their answers so the sheets do not look identical
- accept any answer
- if a student is writing on their own then inventive spelling is just fine…. it actually makes the answers funnier!
