LEGO Mini-figure heads!

LEGO Lovers unite!  This was a fun, simple project.  Great for a rainy day.  My kids created alien heads for some of their guys.  As a mom, I don’t know why you would have guys without heads – but alas, they do!

Supplies
Oven Bake Clay
Mini-figure bodies (they cannot go in the oven)
Foil or parchment paper (to cover surface)
Tools (optional):  toothpicks, rolling pin, plastic knife
Oven

Directions:
1.  Break off chunks of the clay and let your child roll them out or free form sculpt them.
2.  Bake!

A few tips:
1.  My kids made their creations and then molded around the head (really just stuck in the body to make a hole).
2.  Take the clay off and do not put the plastic minifigure in the oven.
3.  The pieces will not change shape while baking.  If you’re afraid they’ll roll around, you can put aluminum foil around the pieces.

Craft store shopping:  I always look for Fimo (oven baked clay) to go on sale.  There are several brands, all are good.  If it’s 50 cents I’ll pick up a couple of bricks.

I love it because you can bake it in your oven, it travels well, rarely breaks, and it looks great!

More inspiration!
