Looking for REAL advice for your Middle School boy before he starts school?
I’ve written about tween boy hygiene tips and getting organized for school, but nothing tells the truth like this one. Advice from a real 7th grader, one who just finished his first year of middle school. I wrote some Mom notes at the bottom to encourage YOU too.
The only way to appreciate this post is to read it aloud to your son. Real advice for boys, by BOYS.

Notes to Moms
When my son got off the bus after the first day of 6th grade, I asked him how he felt. His response, “Relieved!” I’ll never forget it. He summed up exactly how we all felt in one word.
Books that have helped me as my son transitions from elementary school to middle school to high school:
Six Ways to Keep the Good in Your Boy: Guiding Your Son from His Tweens to His Teens by Dannah Gresh
Five Conversations You Must Have With Your Son by Vicki Courtney
The Five Love Languages of Teenagers by Gary Chapman
Boundaries With Teens: When to Say Yes, How to Say No by John Campbell
May all of your sons be successful this year. Pray for them before they leave for the day and while they’re gone. Pray for their friends, teachers, and schools. Middle School is a new adventure and the bridge between elementary and high school. Have a wonderful year.
